About the event
Join artists Paola Gracida as she explores Frida Kahlo's work, home and garden and relates it to our current lives in quarantine. She will inspired you to add elements to your own garden.
It can be possible to experience what inspired Frida. She engaged with nature and made that external world an inner world to create statements, strive and create. We can see those elements used as symbols in her artwork such as flowers, fruits, plants. this can be used to create “installations “ “arrangements” “ pyramids” “walls” in different points in South Haven.
After exploring these concepts with artist Paola Gracida, you will be invited to bring elements to your garden that celebrate Frida Kahlo, and to share photos with us to add to our online gallary of Frida Kahlo Inspired Gardens.
Paolo is an artist living in Stevensville, Michigan who grew up close to Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul. She is full of insight. You will be inspired!
